Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Glasscock County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a partner search indicates agreement to the terms below. A person who does not agree should stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with Glasscock County, Texas, or any government body. It and its advertising partners do not provide consumer reports for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

Glasscock County Criminal History is an independent reference resource. It does not hold official records, perform government background checks, or submit legal filings.

Its content points to the Glasscock County Sheriff's Office, combined clerk, Texas DPS Crime Records Division, TDCJ, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, plus outside tools that may assist general research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

A visitor must not:

  • Violate federal, Texas, or local law through use of the site
  • Threaten, stalk, harass, intimidate, or discriminate against another person
  • Use site content for a credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the site's systems or data
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the pages
  • Interfere with performance or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information found here or through a linked resource may not be used to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. The Texas registry specifically warns that unlawful use, injury, or harassment can lead to criminal prosecution or civil liability. Registry data supports lawful public-safety awareness, not retaliation or vigilante conduct.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

The site does not create credit reports, background checks, or consumer reports and is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Visitors agree not to use this site or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring or employment decision
  • Evaluate a housing or rental application
  • Set credit or insurance eligibility or terms
  • Determine qualification for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other activity governed by the FCRA

A legally required official check must be obtained through the proper Texas DPS or other authorized, compliant channel.

5. No Legal Advice

Content is general information, not legal advice. Questions about a Glasscock County charge, warrant, case, expunction, or nondisclosure order should be taken to a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

The site and its contents are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Information will always be complete, correct, or current
  • Service will remain uninterrupted
  • Every page will be free of errors or security weaknesses
  • An outside search result will be accurate or comprehensive

Records can be filed, corrected, restricted, or removed from public access. Only the originating government office can confirm the current official record.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to county offices, courts, Texas agencies, statutes, and outside services that the site does not control. Their availability, content, charges, privacy practices, and terms are their own responsibility.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, site text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Glasscock County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, altered, distributed, or adapted without prior written authorization.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, the site is not responsible for damages arising from its use, inability to use it, or reliance on content supplied here or by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to protect and hold the site harmless from claims, actions, demands, and related legal costs arising from that visitor's misuse of the site or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Government Code Chapter 552 applies to Texas governmental records requests, and Government Code Chapter 411 controls criminal-history dissemination, but neither makes this private site a records custodian. A dispute tied to use of this site must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted when practices or obligations change. The new version takes effect when published on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice, including when conduct threatens the site or violates these terms.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. The affected text will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions concerning these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
